Conquest, however, has you trying to change the corrupt kingdom from the inside, and you sometimes have to do the unimaginable to achieve your goals, all the while being sent on overly treacherous missions by your father. Some people feel that the Birthright story isn’t that well thought out, as you’re practically just fighting the neighbouring country who’s threatening you, while you care about the welfare of your siblings. In Conquest, you’re trying to change the kingdom of Nohr from the inside, while your siblings try to protect you from you evil, abusive adoptive father who sends you on the most impossible missions. In Birthright, you follow your family in their goal of ridding the world of the evils of Nohr. Your eventual decision is to choose between the nation that raised you (Nohr in Conquest) and your blood family (Hoshido in Birthright). The overall story for FE:Fates is that the two nations known as Hoshido and Nohr, are warring with each other, with you in the middle of it all. One of the most essential components of a game is its story. So which one is better? Consider the following points while making your decision. However, others say Birthright is better because Conquest doesn’t let you grind, and it doesn’t have a wide variety of character classes to choose from. Some say Conquest has a better story, maps and a good, hard difficulty level. As per usual with split games, some people have a preference to one game over another.
It seemed to be a full game, where you could choose a side, but it was revealed to be two split paths: Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest.
Fire Emblem Fates recently came out, on the 21st of May, 2016.
